Warranty & Returns Policy

Australian Consumer Law Guarantee

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. The benefits provided by our 60-Day Standard Warranty are in addition to other rights and remedies available to you under the law.

60-Day Standard Warranty

Home Bitcoin Miners AU provides a 60-day limited warranty on hardware, effective from the date your tracking number confirms delivery of the product.

Due to the highly specialized nature of mining equipment, warranty claims, repairs, and part replacements are processed directly in conjunction with the original overseas manufacturers. Please be advised that warranty claims may take an extended period to resolve due to international shipping, customs, and manufacturer diagnostic processing times.

Crucial Notice Regarding ASIC Chip Specifications & Overclocking

Due to the enthusiast nature of open-source and home mining hardware, some devices or firmware profiles may come "factory overclocked" or default to settings that push the onboard ASIC chips (such as BM-series chips) beyond their base intended limits.

Our warranty strictly covers the hardware ONLY when the chips are operated at their default, stock specifications. * You must run the ASIC chip at its base stock frequency (MHz) and stock voltage (V).

Pushing the chip beyond its baseline stock specifications—even if the custom board or default firmware allows it—causes exponential heat and wear, and is done entirely at your own risk.

Any hardware failure resulting from operating the BM chips above stock MHz and voltage specifications will immediately void this warranty.

Comprehensive Warranty Exclusions

Mining equipment operates under extreme continuous loads. This warranty is strictly limited to manufacturing defects and does not cover damage or failure resulting from any of the following:

1. Modifications & Tampering

Overclocking, undervolting, or modifying operating frequencies outside of the BM chip's base stock specifications.

The installation of unauthorized third-party firmware, custom mining OS, or any software that overrides factory thermal and power safety limits.

Removal, alteration, or defacing of manufacturer warranty stickers, serial numbers, or factory identification tags.

Damage caused by attempted self-repair, replacing thermal paste/pads, or disassembling the casing, heatsinks, or hashboards.

2. Environmental & Maintenance Failures

Damage resulting from high humidity, moisture, liquid exposure, or corrosion.

Failure to properly maintain the equipment, including damage caused by excessive dust, dirt buildup, or insect/pest infestations inside the unit.

Operation in enclosed spaces without adequate intake and exhaust airflow, resulting in thermal throttling or heat damage.

3. Power & Electrical Faults

Use of a third-party, unapproved, or inadequate power supply.

Operating the unit on incorrect voltage, improper electrical wiring, or using non-standard adapters.

Damage caused by power surges, lightning strikes, or unstable grid power. (The use of quality surge protectors or UPS systems is strictly advised).

4. Performance Expectations

Hashrate Variance: Minor fluctuations in hashrate are normal. Warranties do not cover units that operate within the manufacturer's acceptable variance margins (typically +/- 5% to 10% of the advertised hashrate).

Profitability: We do not guarantee mining profitability, solo block rewards, or network difficulty.

Return Conditions & Liability

To be eligible for a warranty claim, the item must be returned to us securely packaged, meeting the following exact criteria:

The hardware must be returned in its original packaging/box with all original foam inserts to prevent transit damage.

The hardware must be returned with the original power supply unit (PSU) that was provided with your order.

The customer is strictly responsible for paying all return shipping costs. We require using a trackable shipping service and purchasing shipping insurance. Home Bitcoin Miners AU is not liable for returned items that are lost or damaged in transit.

Dead on Arrival (DOA) & Transit Damage

If your item arrives physically damaged or fails to power on immediately out of the box, you must notify us within 48 hours of delivery. You must provide clear photos of the exterior shipping box, the internal packaging, and the unit itself, along with a description of the fault, to expedite the DOA process. Claims for transit damage made outside this 48-hour window will not be accepted.
