Refund policy

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

1. Change of Mind

Please choose carefully. We do not offer refunds or exchanges if you simply change your mind, find the product cheaper elsewhere, or decide the mining difficulty/profitability has changed after your purchase.

2. Standard Operating Requirements

Our mining hardware is designed for professional use under specific industrial conditions. To maintain your rights under our warranty and the Australian Consumer Law, the equipment must be operated within the manufacturer’s specifications. This includes:

  • Operating Temperature: Maintaining ambient temperatures between 5°C and 35°C.

  • Power Supply: Use of a dedicated, stable, and appropriately rated power source.

  • Environment: Operation in a dust-free, low-humidity environment with adequate airflow.

3. Exclusions (Misuse & Out-of-Spec Use)

The guarantee of "acceptable quality" and our voluntary warranty do not apply to any fault caused by unreasonable or unintended use. We explicitly exclude coverage for:

  • Overclocking: Any operation of the hardware at clock speeds, voltages, or hash rates higher than the manufacturer’s factory settings.

  • Firmware Modification: Use of custom, or third-party firmware not provided or authorized by the manufacturer.

  • Environmental Damage: Corrosion, overheating, or component failure caused by improper ventilation, high humidity, or excessive dust.

  • Physical Damage: Damage caused by drops, spills, or unauthorized repair attempts.

Note: We reserve the right to perform a forensic hardware and logs analysis on any returned unit to determine if the hardware has been operated outside of factory specifications.

4. Return Process

If you believe your product has a defect:

  1. Contact Us: Email warranty@homebitcoinminers.com.au with your order number and a detailed description of the fault.

  2. Assessment: We may require logs or photos to troubleshoot remotely.

  3. Return Shipping: If the product is faulty and covered by ACL, we will cover the cost of return shipping. If the product is found to be non-defective or damaged due to out-of-spec use (e.g., overclocking), you will be responsible for the cost of assessment and return shipping.
